MEET OUR TEACHERS
Sawyer
Hi! I'm Sawyer Lindsey and I am a 2nd year biology major at UCLA. I love being out in nature especially going on a run through a nice trail with trees as shade and animals running around me. Sustainable Youth is an amazing experience for me because I love teaching people how they can make an impact by changing small life habits and I love being around kids.

Anna G.
Hi! My name is Anna George and I am a third year Environmental Science major. I absolutely love backpacking, running around barefoot and playing with bunnies! Sustainable Youth is so awesome because it builds an appreciation for the outdoors in young kids. We teach them how to love nature because when you love something you take care of it and that is the first step to helping the environment!

Anna C.
Hi! I'm Anna Cho and I'm a second year environmental science major leaning towards conservation biology! I love hiking in lush, tree filled mountains, playing the Janggu (korean traditional instrument), and binge watching shows. I'm from Honolulu, Hawaii, so I grew up with breathtaking views and I would love to keep those views around me! I take sustainability pretty personally and would love to spread the knowledge :)

Corey
Hi! My name is Corey and I am a second year environmental science major. When I am back home in La Verne, I spend a lot of my spare time volunteering at an animal sanctuary called Planet Rehab or cleaning up the local hiking trails in San Dimas. I am also the person in my family that goes through the trash to sort out recyclables and nag my siblings when they don't!

Melody
Hey guys! My name is Mel and I’m a second year geography and environmental studies major with a minor in GIS&T. I absolutely love hiking, skiing, sailing, running, and just being outside. I discovered my passion for the environment and for the outdoors when college students came in to speak to my fifth grade class, which is why I joined Sustainable Youth! I hope that I can inspire kids to care about our planet the same way students did for me.

Megna
Hello! My name is Megna Patel and I am a second year Environmental Science major with a minor in Geospatial Information Systems & Technologies. I enjoy hiking, skiing, dancing, reading, playing volleyball, and relaxing on the beach. I’m also a big adrenaline junkie (sorry, Mom!) and love to get my heart rate up through activities such as skydiving and scuba diving. I am so excited to be teaching for Sustainable Youth and to show local children how they can make a meaningful impact on the environment around them through sustainable practices.
